Frequently asked questions.
What services does Total Cleaning provide?
We assess professional cleaning for carpets, carpeted stairs, suitable area rugs, sofas, sectionals, armchairs, dining chairs, other suitable upholstery and mattresses. Commercial work is limited to suitable carpet, stairs and upholstered seating; we are not presenting these services as general housekeeping or janitorial cleaning.
How do I request an accurate estimate?
Send your ZIP code, the service you need, room or seat counts, access details and clear photos of the full item, care labels and affected areas. Tell us about products already applied.
Is my requested appointment automatically confirmed?
No. A submitted date is a preference. We confirm the material, scope, location, access and availability before an appointment becomes confirmed.
Can every stain or odor be removed?
No ethical cleaner can guarantee every result. Fiber, dye, backing, age, source, prior products and conditions below the visible surface can limit the outcome.
How long will the material take to dry?
There is no universal drying time. Material, extraction, airflow, humidity, temperature and the amount of moisture used all matter. Use the item only after it is actually dry.
Should I use a spot product before the visit?
Avoid mixing products or saturating the material. If the spill is fresh, blot rather than scrub with a clean white cloth and follow the manufacturer's instructions while you wait for an assessment.
Do you move furniture?
Share photos before the estimate so the work area and furniture can be reviewed. Remove small, fragile and personal items. Any movement of larger pieces must be discussed before the appointment.
Which locations do you serve?
Our primary area is the Long Branch and Asbury Park corridor and nearby communities across Monmouth County, New Jersey. Final availability is confirmed by ZIP code.
Can you clean delicate or specialty materials?
Some delicate, antique, handmade, unstable-dye, water-sensitive or manufacturer-restricted materials may require another method or specialist. Suitability is assessed before service.
Which languages can clients use?
Total Cleaning can assist in English, Portuguese and Spanish.
Have a material-specific question?
Send photos of the full item, its care label and the area that concerns you. We will review the request before confirming service.
